I was born in Romania, in the south-western part of Transylvania. I was introduced to drawing at an early age by my grandfather, an accomplished photographer and painter. Throughout my formative years I developed my drawing skills under the instruction of one of Romania’s celebrated artist, the late Mr. Richard Mantu.
I studied painting with Natasha Mokina and Leslie Exton, and sculpture with Charles Flickinger at the Corcoran College of Art and Design.
I am keenly interested in figurative art. I enjoy the challenge of portraying human emotion and interaction, in painting and in sculpture.
Currently, I am a member of the contemporary Waverly Street Gallery in Bethesda, Maryland, one of Washington D.C. Metro area's premier contemporary art galleries.
I am also involved with Artomatic, a non-profit that organizes massive unjuried arts festivals for the communities in and around Washington DC, and beyond.
When I'm not making art, I put my Master's degree in Electrical Engineering to good use as a technology consultant.
